The University Park Lions Club will be hosting a Crawfish Cook-Off Competition on May 18, 2019 from 12pm-4pm at the Westwego Farmer’s & Fisheries Market (484 Sala Ave Westwego, LA). We are looking for Crawfish cooks that are up to the challenge, crafters for our Craft fair section, and hungry folks!
We will have live music, games and activities for the kids, food, drinks, crafts, raffles, and more!
We will be raffling several great prizes including:
– a hand crafted wooden swing
– a party package (ice chest cooler & variety of liquors/wines/beers)
– a $250 Gift Card for Morton’s Steakhouse
– a crawfish cooking package (crawfish pot, burner, paddle, and spices)
and more fabulous prizes to be announced!
The crawfish teams will be judged on 3 categories:
Best Crawfish
Best Sides
Best Dish (a dish made using ingredients in your crawfish pot)
Winning teams will receive a commemorative crawfish paddle plaque to display proudly!
Registration for teams are: $150
Registration for a craft table: $35

Proceeds go to helping the club complete various Service Projects in the community.
The University Park Lions have proudly served our community for over 50 years. We are based out of Kenner, LA with over 35 active members. Some of our projects over the past few years include but are not limited to: beautification projects at schools and parks, providing eye screenings to children in our schools, providing coats for children that lost their coats in floods, food baskets and donations, disaster relief donations, school supplies for children, classroom improvements, providing treatment for eyesight to the underprivileged, and sending special needs children to our Lions Summer Camp.
